Inside Swing opens in Owatonna

Owatonna’s newest golf simulator bar, Inside Swing, officially opened its doors at 685 W. Bridge St., Suite No. 5 on Nov. 18, bringing with it a new opportunity for local golfers to stay on top of their game no matter the weather or conditions.
Inside Swing features four top-of-the-line simulators as well as a bar area and a connected restaurant, co-owned by Faribault-based Basilleo’s Pizza Restaurant.
“Opening day was good. We had a soft opening with our families and contractors the day prior on Friday and got really good reviews. So, we went full boar on Saturday, and we were packed for the weekend. We’ve had some great feedback and plenty of visitors we hope to see as regulars,” said Inside Swing co-owner Jesse Sletten.
Patrons looking to catch a quick round or compete as a member of Inside Swing’s set leagues can rent time on the simulators with prices starting at $45 an hour.
Inside Swing offers a men’s league on Monday nights, a Tuesday night co-ed league, a Thursday night women’s league and a floating league on Friday for those who can’t make it on the other scheduled days.
Golfers who want to enjoy their round with beverages are in luck as well.
“We put together a holiday drink menu and have some specials going. Other than that, we have tap beers and are working to stock plenty of beers and other beverages from local breweries. We’re working hard to keep our bar well-stocked so everyone who comes in can find something they like,” said co-owner James Harsma.
According to Sletten, Basilleo’s Pizza Restaurant is not yet fully functioning on the premises and is slated to officially make its debut sometime in January or February.
In the meantime, patrons can still enjoy Basilleo’s food as the business currently stocks ready-to-bake pizzas from the restaurant for a price of $12.50.
With doors open for almost a full month, the early stages of the local business have been more than just a lot of work for the home-grown ownership group.
“We’re so excited to be up and operating here. Three of the four of us are from here, and it’s so nice to see all the familiar faces and meet all the new people who commute into town to see what we’ve put together,” said Sletten.
Inside Swing’s operating hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Saturday and Sunday extending one hour later until closing at 11 p.m.
