Benefit planned for Flores family

Olivia Flores
Olivia Flores was killed in a crash in Rochester just weeks before graduation in May.

A benefit for the family of Olivia Flores is planned for 4 to 9 p.m. July 27 at the Owatonna Eagles.

The event will feature a pasta dinner from 4 to 7 p.m., as well as a silent auction. Tickets are $15 each, and are available at the Eagles or United Prairie Bank. Children age 5 and younger are admitted free.

Flores was 18 and just weeks away from her graduation at Owatonna High School when she died of injuries received in a crash on May 18 in Rochester.

“She lived her life to the fullest, with a big smile on her face,” said Nikki Krenzelok, a friend of Olivia’s and one of the organizers of the benefit.

“She was an amazingly kind and beautiful soul that touched the lives of so many people.”

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Flores family.
