BREAKING NEWS: Federal arrests tied to Steele County

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced a federal indictment against two brothers and a woman in a multi-jurisdictional case, including Steele County.
Lennie Dwayne Brooks, 33 and Randy Lorenzo Brooks, 23 as well as Autumn Marie Nichols, 20 have been indicted on one count of robbery. The brothers are from Wabasha County.
The federal indictment reveals the three stole about $50,000 in cash belonging to Shaung Hur Asian Markets and as a result, caused the death of a robbery victim.
ATF and local law enforcement executed federal search warrants on Dec. 20. All three are in custody and are set to make their initial appearances Friday at 2 p.m. in U.S. District Court in St. Paul.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office has been involved in the case, though it’s unknown the exact connection to Steele County at this time.
