BREAKING NEWS: Milwaukee Police Chief confirms 2-year-old found on side of road in rural Minnesota

Lead Summary

Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales confirmed Saturday morning that a body believed to be Noelani Robinson was “found wrapped in a blanket on the side of a road in rural Minnesota.”
Though the exact location was not revealed, it is believed to be rural Steele County north of Blooming Prairie. That’s where the Steele County Sheriff’s Office discovered  a body Friday night. Sheriff Lon Thiele said he is awaiting an autopsy before releasing more details.
Chief Morales said the body was nowhere near the location provided by the suspected killer, Dariaz Higgins, during his interrogation with police investigators. He has been in custody in Milwaukee since Wednesday. Morales said they believe that the Minnesota death did not occur in the last 24 hours.
“This is our job, and the closure is not the closure we like to find,” Morales said.
