BREAKING NEWS: Owatonna Police investigating stabbing death at a park

Owatonna Police along with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating a weekend murder at Dartts Park in Owatonna.
Officers responded to a 911 call of a stabbing at the park located at 600 Cherry St. NE around 5:17 p.m. Sunday. Police found an unconscious man on the ground with what appeared to be stab wounds.
Police and emergency workers attempted to save the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been taken to the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and an autopsy.
The BCA’s mobile crime unit responded to the scene. Crime scene personnel recovered two knives at the park.
