BREAKING NEWS: Police catch prisoner escapee shortly after fleeing

Steele County authorities have captured a prisoner who took from the Steele County Courthouse in Owatonna Tuesday morning.
At about 11:30 a.m., Adam John Flategraff appeared in Steele County District Court where he was sentenced on a criminal vehicular operation charge. After the judge handed down the sentence, Flategraff was remanded into custody of sheriff’s deputies to be transported to the Steele County Detention Center. Flategraff had other ideas and took off on foot.
Nearly three hours later, police caught Flategraff and took him to jail.
Assisting the Steele County Sheriff’s Office were Owatonna Police, Faribault Police and the State Patrol.
Flategraff’s original charge of criminal vehicular operation involved a crash with great bodily harm.
