First baby in BP

Owen David Kormann hit the scales at 9 pounds and 3 ounces.
This youngster became the First Baby of Blooming Prairie in 2019. He is the son of Melissa (Missy) and Justin Kormann and brother of Emma Lee, 5 1/2. 
The Kormanns reside in Blooming Prairie at 140 NW 8th St.
Owen David measured 22 inches in length and was born at 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019. He was born at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin.
The Kormann family brought home Owen David on Friday. Emma Lee missed the school on that day and had said that the day would be the longest of her life if she had to go to school on the day her baby brother came home.
Maternal grandparents are Tammy and Kevin Johnson of Blooming Prairie. Paternal grandparents are Lonnie and Teri Kormann of New Richland.
Emma and her baby brother Owen share some meaningful middle names. 
Emma Lee takes her middle name from her mother's brother Derek Johnson, who was killed in a construction accident in 2011. Owen David takes his middle name from his father's brother Bryan Kormann, who was killed in a car crash near Medford.
