BREAKING NEWS: BP announces pick for next city administrator

The City of Blooming Prairie has extended a job offer to Melanie Aeschliman, one of four candidates for the position of city administrator.

The offer is contingent upon the approval of the Blooming Prairie City Council at its next regular meeting, scheduled for May 8.

Aeschliman has 10 years of experience in state, county and local government in assessing, planning, zoning and economic development. She is currently employed by the state of North Dakota as a state supervisor of assessments in the office of the tax commissioner.

No details of the offer were available Friday afternoon; Aeschliman would likely assume the role in mid-June.
