Breaking News: First coronavirus death reported in Rice County

Rice County has experienced its first coronavirus death involving a man with connections to Dodge County.
 
Trinity Lutheran Church of West Concord confirmed the death of its pastor, Rev. Craig Breimhorst, on a Facebook post. He lived with his wife in Faribault. 
 
Pastor Craig reportedly lost his battle with COVID-19 early Thursday morning. Trinity reported, “At 12:45 a.m., Craig fell gently into the arms of Jesus and is celebrating an Easter like none other.” 
 
There still are no deaths reported in either Dodge or Steele counties. The number of confirmed cases in Dodge County has jumped to 16 while Steele remains at 9.
