Breaking News: Mower Fair Cancels for 2020

One of the last fairs in the area has announced it is canceling for 2020. On Sunday, the Mower County Fair Board decided to cancel its 2020 fair.
In making the decision, the board said: “With concern for public health and the constraints put in place, it is not possible to hold an event as large as the Mower County Fair. The board has vowed to work with Mower County 4-H to provide the space needed to allow members the opportunity to show their projects and have them judged in a format that is allowed.
Board members say they will start planning for a bigger and better 2021 Mower County Fair.
Most other area fairs canceled their 2020 runs after the Minnesota State Fair decided to pull the plug in May.
