BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Arrest made in Owatonna Murder

An arrest has been made in the stabbing death of an Owatonna man.
 
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports that Hassan Nur Hassan was arrested
without incident late Monday night by Minneapolis Police. He was booked into the Hennepin
County Jail and will be transferred to the Steele County Detention Center in Owatonna as he
awaits charging in Sunday’s murder of Mohamed Aweis Mohamed of Owatonna.
 
Police had put out an alert Monday afternoon on Hassan as a person of interest in the killing.
