News Update: Owatonna’s city administrator to step down

Owatonna’s top leader is calling it quits.

On Friday, City Administrator Kris Busse announced she is retiring on Aug. 8.

“This decision comes with a mix of emotions—gratitude for the time spent serving this wonderful community and sadness as I prepare to say goodbye to such a dedicated and talented team,” said Busse. Additional information regarding the selection process for the next city administrator will be developed with guidance from the City Council and shared publicly.

Busse became city administrator in Owatonna in December 2007 after spending 12 years as city manager in Waseca.
