No trick for Ellendale man on Halloween
It was no trick for an Ellendale man on Halloween, but rather a hefty treat.
Alex Blaschko got the ultimate treat on Halloween after winning $100,000 playing the Lottery’s Fireball 7s scratch game.
Blaschko and his girlfriend decided to stay in on Halloween night and their plans included playing the Lottery’s Fireball 7s and Addams Family scratch games. The evening took an exciting detour when Blaschko uncovered a $100,000 win on one of the Fireball 7s scratch tickets.
“We were supposed to have a movie night but that never happened,” said Blaschko. “There was too much excitement!”
Blaschko and his girlfriend arrived at Lottery headquarters in Roseville on Nov. 1 where he claimed the prize. When asked what his plans are for the prize money, the full-time college student replied, “Pay off some of my debt and help out my family.”
Blaschko purchased his $100,000 winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, located at 3959 Highway 30 W., in Ellendale.
