Just saucy!

Dave Wradislavsky and Greg Johnson teamed up as Prairie Fire Barbecue to take top honors in the 9th Annual Blooming Prairie Ribfest celebration last Saturday, June 22.
Seven grillers competed for the best in barbecue expertise at the Blooming Prairie Servicemen's Club.
Meat was provided to all barbecue entrants.
The public had the opportunity to taste chicken wings and barbecue ribs from 3-5 p.m. Guests were asked to cast their votes for their favorite in wings and ribs categories.
For winning the rib category, Wradislavsky and Johnson won a plaque and $400 in cash. The duo then donated $200 of their winnings to the Blooming Prairie Youth Club, sponsor of the event.
Rod and Tess Koster were second in the ribs category and Patrick Roles was third in the ribs category. The Kosters won $200 in cash and donated the money to the Youth Club.
In wings competition, Joe Sundine, Big Joe's BBQ was first, Prairie Fire was second and Roles was third.
In steak competition, Roles was first, Prairie Fire was second and Koster was third.
Big Joe's won the sauce category, Kosters were second and Roles was third.
Also competing in the barbecue contest were: Dustin Doocy of Two Guys and a Butcher and Sam Spade, Apple Pie.
The kids had competition, too, at the Ribfest. Winners in the hamburger division were: Maverick Schlichter, first; Jakson Vermilyea, second and Maizy Lowe, third.
All proceeds from the Ribfest event go to the Blooming Prairie Youth Club.
