Medford city administrator resigns post

Medford will begin the new year without a city administrator.
On Monday night, the Medford City Council accepted the resignation of Andy Welti, who has been with the city for the past six years.
Mayor Lois Nelson said Welti gave two-weeks notice on Dec. 23. His last day with the city will be Jan. 4.
“He brought us stability because we previously had four administrators in five years,” said Nelson, who ends her reign as mayor on Thursday.
Nelson said it will be up to the new council to find Welti’s replacement.
Welti has a new job lined up, but it’s unknown what it is.
