Nancy Fait, 84, Owatonna

Nancy K. Fait, age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at Timberdale Trace in Owatonna.

Nancy was born on Dec. 31, 1940, in Faribault, to Carl and Ruth (Ress) Kispert. She was raised by her stepfather Charles and her mother Ruth Germandson in Kenyon, and graduated from Kenyon High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, she had a short career at Federated Insurance in Owatonna.

On Aug. 5, 1961, Nancy married the love of her life, John Fait, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. Shortly after that, she began working at Jostens, where she dedicated over 40 years of service before retiring.

Nancy enjoyed her family and friends. She loved hosting parties in her backyard. You knew you were special to her if she would give you “the salute.” She also enjoyed traveling and going on occasional cruise trips. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Fait (Lonnie Wempner); grandchildren: Danelle Fait, Jessie Wollschliger (Damian Johnson), Karissa Wollschliger (Alex Freiburg), and Kelly Fait; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Freiburg.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her son, Troy.

Visitation is planned for Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, with a short service at 3 p.m.
