Phyllis Kluge passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, in Faribault.

Phyllis was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Faribault. She attended Medford Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1959. Phyllis started her career shortly after graduation as a secretary for various Construction Companies including John Sahf Construction and Met-Con Construction.

Phyllis married James Langer from Owatonna, and they had four children: Lynn (Mark) Mittelsteadt, Lori Langer (Joe), Daniel (Mandy) Langer, and David (Nicole) Langer. She had 8 grandchildren: Gail (Joe), Ryan (Cassie), Preston (Jenny), Alex (Brenna), Logan (Laurissa), Connor (Amanda), Jordan (Lily), and Alyshia (Noah.) She also had 10 great-grandchildren that she adored!

Later in life, Phyllis married Roger Kluge and they enjoyed "flipping" houses together, watching grandchildren and having grill-outs. Phyllis loved having family get-togethers and especially loved Christmas time and 4th of July with the family. Her favorite outing was “The Cousin Lunch” get-togethers. She also enjoyed sewing and going to church.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; brother, Richard; and sisters, Deloris, Mary, and Rose.

She is survived by her children; sisters: Elaine, Deb and Joyce; brothers, Dan and Jack; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna. Friends may greet the family 1.5 hours prior to the service, starting at 9:30 a.m.
