Public Health: Beaver Lake is safe again
Beaver Lake has been deemed safe again and reopened to recreational use just in time for the Labor Day weekend.
On Friday, Ethan Rindfleisch of Steele County Public Health said recent water testing confirmed that bacteria levels have returned to safe levels, in accordance with Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.
Public Health closed the lake last week after dangerous levels of bacteria had been detected.
“We greatly appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this temporary closure,” said Rindfleisch. “Your commitment to health and safety helped protect residents and visitors from recreational water illnesses.”
