Riess to appear in court Tuesday
The Minnesota Judicial Branch confirms that Lois Riess will be making her initial court appearance in Dodge County District Court Tuesday at 11:45 a.m.
According to Kyle Christopherson, spokesperson for the courts, Riess will appear via ITV from the Steele County Detention Center, which is where she was brought by Dodge County deputies Friday. Christopherson said the prosecutor will also be appearing remotely for the hearing.
The hearing will be handled by Judge Jodi Williamson, who will be on the bench in her courtroom at the Dodge County Courthouse in Mantorville.
Sheriff Scott Rose said his deputies flew Riess back from Florida on Friday before taking her to the Steele County jail. Rose has referred all media inquiries about the case to Christopherson.
