Roma's to reopen Aug. 14
Roma's will officially reopen its doors on Friday, August 14, welcoming guests back with a beautifully renovated restaurant, refreshed brand identity and a renewed vision for Italian dining rooted in Italian hospitality, quality ingredients and the joy of gathering around the table.
Following a temporary closure this summer, the Owatonna restaurant has undergone an extensive transformation under new management by Wischermann Partners. While the restaurant has a fresh new look, its commitment to serving the community remains unchanged.
Inspired by the philosophy "Modern Italian. Rooted in Tradition.", the new Roma's celebrates the timeless rituals that have long defined Italian dining—sharing meals, lingering over conversation and creating memories with family and friends. From the redesigned interiors and warm, welcoming atmosphere to the thoughtfully refreshed menu, every detail has been shaped around one simple belief: the best moments in life happen around the table.
"Our goal was never to change what people have always loved about Roma's," said Jennifer Blacker, vice president of Commercial Strategy for Wischermann Partners. " We wanted to preserve what makes the restaurant special while creating an elevated experience that feels fresh, welcoming and built for the way people gather today. Whether you're joining us for a quick lunch, a family dinner or a special celebration, we want every guest to feel at home."
The menu has also been thoughtfully reimagined, combining familiar Italian favorites with handcrafted pastas, seasonal specialties and new experiences that invite guests to slow down and enjoy a meal together. Guests can look forward to:
• Fresh, house-made pastas
• Classic Italian entrées made with quality ingredients
• An expanded weekday lunch menu
• Aperitivo Hour, Roma's take on the traditional Italian happy hour with Italian-inspired cocktails, wine and small plates
• Sunday Supper, a new weekly family-style dining experience designed for sharing
Throughout the year, Roma's will also introduce seasonal experiences inspired by Italian traditions, creating new reasons for the community to gather around the table—from summer celebrations and harvest dinners to holiday traditions that bring family and friends together.
"Our vision is simple," Blacker said. "We want Roma's to be more than a restaurant. We want it to be the place where birthdays are celebrated, families gather after the game, coworkers meet for lunch, friends reconnect over a glass of wine and everyday dinners become lasting memories. That's what great Italian hospitality has always been about."
Roma's will begin serving dinner daily on Aug. 14. Daily lunch service will begin on Aug.17.
Reservations are now open. While walk-ins will be welcomed as space allows, guests are highly encouraged to make reservations. Reservations can be made by visiting www.romasowatonna.com.
All outstanding Roma’s gift cards will be eligible for redemption upon opening.
