Semi crash injures a driver on Highway 14
A crash between two semi-trailers resulted in one driver being injured Saturday morning in Steele County.
The crash happened on Highway 14 near 84th Avenue in Havana Township. The State Patrol reported a Volvo tractor with van trailer crashed into another Volvo tractor with a tanker trailer while both were traveling westbound on Highway 14.
According to the patrol, Robert David See, 50, of Harlan, Iowa received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
The other driver, Mekonnen Doyamo, 63, of Andover was not injured. The patrol said Doyamo was wearing a seat belt and no alcohol was involved.
Deputies from Steele and Dodge counties assisted the patrol at the scene.
