Thomas Flemming, 70, Waterville

Thomas Flemming passed away April 15, 2026, in Waterville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church, Owatonna. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the Mass at church starting at 10 a.m.

Tom was born on May 9, 1955, to parents Walter and Rose (McMahan) Flemming in Rochester.

He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1974 and then went to Faribault Vo-Tech school for custodial work. He worked for Cedar Valley Services for many years.

Tom was a lover of music and was known as “Owatonna Tom” on KRFO because he called in all the time to request songs to play. He enjoyed going to many Gopher and Viking football games with his nephew Rob.

Tom is survived by siblings, Ramona (Dcn. Newell) McGee, Frederick (Virgina) Flemming, Jo (Gary) Nuzum, James Flemming, Mary (Michael) Wencl, Patricia (Michael) Simonson, Rebecca (Perry) Bielefeldt, Susan (Kenneth Jr.) Hodgden, Lisa (Stacey) Hannover and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael, and sisters-in-law, Rhonda and Andrea.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
